hi im jen, and im wanting the RNY surgery. I have no insurance, so im researching on ways to pay for it, so far ive found Blue Cross/Blue Shield with a few different options....anyone else know of anyone in my shoes? My mom is having surgery on Monday, July 17th, my brother has lost over 300lbs, my aunt over 195lbs, my best friend from HS about 150lbs now, and a friend of the family about 100+lbs.....all had it done with AWESOME results :D..... its MY turn to get my life back..... I'm 29 and i dont even know how much i weigh....im terrified of scales, but in 2002, i weighed 463 when i went into Medical Weight Loss Clinic (what a joke only 400.00 + a month......) Just Jane told me to post here, i was kinda lost....lol ~~Jenny~~

Welcome Jenny! I don't have any great ideas on how to self-pay, but just wanted to welcome you to the group! I'm sure you will get some answers that will help you on this board. I had BCBS PPO community blue ins. and it paid for all but $1,200. Hope you find a way! Sounds like you are ready! Best of luck! Theresa

Hi Jenny! Nice to meet you. I started my journey just a few months ago and just had my consult last week, so I have no clue how to help you with self-pay, but I wish you much luck. Shawn 304
