I am home again! FINALLY
Hello Everyone, I am home again! FINALLY!!! I was in for 5 days and I am feeling much better now. The pain in my stomach is gone--well better than it was. I have a gaping wound that has to be packed but other than that all is well. Turns out I had an abcess right where one of my incisions was at. So my surgeon operated and pulled the gunk out and I am feeling much better. I just have to get my mind right because I am afraid it will come back, or something else will happen..etc..... I have been through some stuff so I now have to get my emotions together! Thanks so much to everyone for the well wishes and prayers. And also to Sheryl L for checking on me and keeping you guys updated. Now I am off to enjoy my home!
God Bless!!
Love, Kathy

Glad everything turned out well for you. I live in Paw Paw and work in Kalamazoo. I have been following your story for the last few weeks since I have been a regular reading people mail and infomation. I am pre-op. I am starting the process through Dr. Verseman @ Borgess. I am so looking forward to doing this. My mom had the surgery early June and had some complications with blood thinners. She is doing very well now. It looks like for me ins. is going to be the easy part and by reg phy. may put up a little fight. I will find out for sure on 7/28. Anyway sorry to babble. My continue prayers are with you for a continue and speedy recovery.

hey Kathy im glad that you are home and doing better i know about having an absess i had one on my inner thigh about 2.5 years ago and it landed me in the hospital for 6 months with a hole in my leg/butt the size of a football.
Ive been praying for you and i hope you don't get to depressed. be safe listen to your doctors and pray it will pay of in the end..
Curt Coker
Hi Curt, thanks for the prayers! I know that they have been helping. I suppose I will stop complaining about my little wound after hearing that yours was the size of a FOOTBALL!!!!! My goodness!! I think I would have gone nuts being n the hospital for 6 months. Just when you think you have it bad, you hear of someone else who had it worse.. And you get thankful REAL QUICK!!!
Thanks again for the well wishes & prayers!
Kathy
Oh Kathy,
I, too, have been following your journey, and am so glad to hear things are much better. I've already said another prayer that all goes well. Keep your chin up. You were doing so well at first, you were an inspiration. You still are, so hang in there!!! I hope there's nothing but smooth sailing ahead!!!
Hi Patty, Thank you soooooo much for the prayers. I know that they are helping! I know that God is in control, so I need to let him be God. He actually answered one of my MANY prayers while I was in the hospital. I was praying that the Doctors would have a clear understanding of what was going on. At first they thought it was just some bleeding with infection in my stomach. They thought it would go away wth anti-biotics. Then all the sudden the area started to get swollen, just where the abcess was, it then was really localized so the doctors could see exactly what it was. It was almost like God was saying "Right here" because it was so obvious at that point what was going on. Even though it has been hard, I have felt God's presence in this whole thing from start to finish. I know that I have the victory! Thank you so much for keeping me in your prayers. How are things progressing with your surgery?
Kathy
Kathy,
Congrats on getting to finally come home! I know EXACTLY how you are feeling, as I returned to Bi-County this week (6 days post-op) and was discharged after two days. It was great to be able to finally come home again. One thing I noticed (both this time and original surgery) that I gained some pounds, but they were back off in a few days. Has this happened to you? I think it might be from the continuous IV coming in and made me waterlogged!
Michelle
Hi Michelle, I read what was going on with you.... MY goodness!!! I am glad that you are home and doing better. We have to stay out of those hospitals!! Yes... Everytime I stay in the hospital I gain weight, or don't lose. I think that is sooooooooooooooo depressing! I am pretty sure it is from the IV. I hadn't lost a pound in the 5 days I was in the hospital. Then this morning I weighed myself and I was down 6 pounds. So I know it is just a matter of giving your body time to adjust. I know that the weight loss is coming... So I have to learn to be patient!
Best wishes as you contuniue to recover!
Kathy
