Home from the hospital
Hi everyone I was discharged today from the hospital. All my complicaitons were from having my lower ostimosis made to small from my original WLS. Then when I had a kinked bowel in the fall of 2004 they left my small intestine in a big time mess. Plus I had a major bowel obstruction so I could of ended up at Munson medical center for Emergent surgery with GT surgeons. All I can say is that I am glad that it is over and know that I can move forward with my life and I still have my remanant stomach. Plus know I am going to be a big advocant on research of who you pick to do your surgery becasue my surgery was a major botch job in the end. Tricia
Dear Tricia,
I'm sorry you had to endure all of this harship. It isn't what we - any of us want.
Remember that God is watching over you and will protect you!
Fortunately, research is important in finding the right surgeon. I don't know if you are willing to travel to Mount Pleasant but Dr. James D. Pilkington MD., my surgeon and a few others here, is wonderful, talented, and brilliant. I highly recommend him.

Thanks Stacey for the great words of encouragment. I have a great new physcian in Grand Rapids who took over my care. Yes I know who Dr Pilkington is from his days of being a resident at spectrum health. I feel great and hopefully I will not have to go through another surgery for a long time or just plastics in the next six months to get rid of my tummy. Tricia
