Hernia repair... questions

I had 2 hernias repaired during my RNY, but one came back and I'm now scheduled for a hernia repair on the 28th of this month. It is very large this time (the size of an orange at least) and my surgeon will be using mesh for the repair. My questions are this: Will using the mess later cause me trouble when I have my TT and muscle tightening? Has anyone heard of double-sided mesh? I read somewhere that it was better .. .less painful. Other advise or info would be greatly appreciated. Sheryl In the Zoo

I had hernia repair/TT (with mesh) 2 years ago then had to have an internal hernia fixed this year. I asked my surgeon about this and she said going through the mesh was no problem. I've never heard of double sided mesh but I swear I could feel the mesh for several months after the hernia repair. Not anymore though. Good luck and best wishes.
