ITS A NO GO FOR ME

There are many people who feel the bypass surgery is inferior to the DS. Many consider the DS to be a better, longer term solution. The stats I have read show fewer people regain any weight with the DS and there is no dumping syndrome. You might even be better off.

Hey Judy - I know I posted on the DS board, but I'll post on this board too to lend my support and hope. Did you find out anything new? I am SO rooting for you! I thought about you all day and wondered what is going on. As I said on the other board, I REALLY like Dr. Kemmeter, and I just spoke to my cousins fiance' last night about the DS (she lost 130 pounds three years ago) she told me she feels great - can eat most anything and said "This surgery changed my life in so many wonderful ways." Hope you are setting some wheels into action today. Tell hubby that the price of gas will be offset by how much lower your grocery bill will be after the surgery!

Hi Julie...Yeah I am waiting for paperwork from dr foote now and I will fax the paperwork back to him so its there faster!!! I hope I can see him right away and have him say YES Judy I can do that RNY for you....or try open RNY and if that doesn't work...DS. I would be so happy if he could do that for me. I am feeling better today tho. I made it through work all day without crying so I guess I am going to be ok. And if I have to put gas on my credit card to go to grand rapids...so be it!!! Thats great about your cousins fiance' weight loss...I want to get this fat off me so I can live again...its so hard to move now...ok I am not going any further I don't want to cry...lol its to hot and sticky to do that....thanks for being here Julie...Hugs Judy
