saw the surgeon today

Hi all: I met with Dr. Kemmeter at MMPC today and he said I'm an absolutely ideal patient for the duodenal switch, and I will hopefully go in for surgery the second week of August! My wonderful MESSA insurance is preapproved as long as I meet the 40 BMI condition, and I am just SO grateful for that. Counting the minutes till his assistant calls with a date. I really liked him - VERY personable fella and talked to me as not some overweight dummy, but an intelligent, inquiring patient. He told me he'd never met a patient who had done her homework so well!
