Anyone had an Ulcer after surgery

6 weeks out and I have some bleeding in my Upper GI. Dr. said it could be an ulcer. On meds now if it doesn't clear up in a couple days back to laproscopic to fix. I havent had any trouble until Tuesday. Guess those things can come on quick. Anyone had a similar situation.

So sorry to hear about this. I don't have a "similar situation" since I am not due to have surgery until the 17th however, I am wondering how did you become aware of the problem since you were six weeks out? Just wondering so I know what kind of things to look for. White Lake is that a town or is that like Whitehall/Montague. I live near there and everyone calls our area Whitelake. Same place or no? I got an ulcer about six weeks post op from the heavy duty steroids i was on, i am still on prevacid for it. What did the doc give you? Hugs Linda

I figured something was wrong when I had black stool. Dr. said it was blood. I was also light headed, weak, and tired. Dr. has me on generic for prilosec, two a day. I was doing so well. Hope I dont have to go back in for followup procedure. I have lost 30 lbs since May 30. Total of 60 since pre op in Jan. It has been good thus far. Although with that being said This is not a magic operation that some people think.
