Here I am with a little over 24 hours of this liquid diet and then I cannot have anything. Atleast they said I can brush my teeth on Monday morning. I did fine with the 2 week diet that consisted of 2 protein shakes and 1 high protein/low carb meal. But this all liquid thing is not much fun. I have taken my vegetable soup and chicken noodle soup and drained them so I had only the liquid. I have had sugar free jello, popsicles, Crystal Light. Is there anything else I can have right now??? My tummy is growling at me! It's so hungry I feel I could I just keep telling myself that within the next 36 hours, I won't be hungry anymore.... Oh, Monday morning please come quick. Hang in there, Michelle! I know it seems like forever, but when you look back on it, I'll be well worth the suffering you are going through right now. Keep focused on the future. After surgery, you will not feel as hugry and will melt like butter in 100 degree weather. Just stay strong! You CAN do it!!!! Jon

Thank you Jon for your words of support. I keep looking forward towards that "I'm not hungry" phase. Right now I am trying to keep myself busy by doing housewor****il we leave tomorrow night for Troy (where we are staying for the night) and blocking out that growling noise! I don't think my house has been so clean since we let our cleaning lady go!! Michelle

Hi Michelle, I know all to well what you are going through. I was on all liquids for 19 days straight. I didn't eat one single thing. I found what worked for me was to have another shake. I found that if I could keep myself full on protein I could get through it. The way I saw it was, the extra protein would fill me up and help after surgery. I know its really hard, but you can do it! You will be so glad that you stuck to it. Monday will be here before you know it!! And then it's all the way to loserville for you!! Kathy

I WOULD LOVE A PROTEIN SHAKE!!! But I mix it with milk and right now NO MILK OR DAIRY allowed. I agree with you, the protein shakes filled me up. Wish I could have one to make my tummy stop yelling at me. Michelle

Hey Michelle, You're almost there. Hang in there sweetie you can do this. You haven't come this far just to give in to cravings. The hunger usually goes away after the 3rd day of the liquid diet. It will get better. I'm praying for you. God bless you, Annette

Thank you Annette for your words of support. Thank goodness I have to do this for only two days (liquid diet). My son, who is 2, eats and eats and eats. Today I had to cut up watermelon for him and it looked so good. But I didn't have any. Then he wanted some Oreos with Daddy. They left them on the counter. DADDY But I didn't have any! Michelle

Hey Michelle, Good luck on your surgery! You are so lucky to have gotten to eat 1 meal during those two weeks. Tomorrow I start an all clear except for the protein drinks liquid diet for 2 whole weeks. THAT is going to freakin suck. No pudding, no soups, no sf ice cream I am going to go out of my mind those first few days. LOL We are stronger then we think girl! I will be meeting you on the loser bench in a few weeks girl! Hang in there. Hugs, Di

Since you can't have dairy, why not try a bottle of Nature's Best Isopure Clear Whey Protein at GNC for about 3.50 for a 20 ounce bottle. This stuff is clear, has 40 grams protein and no sugar, and ice cold it is quite palatable. I'm on the Apple Melon kick now, but tastes change. Keep at it you are doing wonderful!!! Stacey

Stacey, I have a question for you - Does the Ispopure count toward daily fluid intake? I have five bottles in the fridge and have not cracked them open yet... Apple Melon is one of them. Brandee
