Is Anyone Else Always COLD???????

Hi Everyone, How is everyone doing? I am doing pretty good except I seem to be cold alot of the time. Does anyone know if this could be caused by low vitamin D or anything else? The reason I mentioned vitamin D is because I had my six month blood work done about a month ago and it came back good except low vitamin D. I go back in a couple weeks because my PCP wants me to have it checked again. If anyone knows anything or is experiencing the same thing I would love to hear from you. OMG! I am the Ice Queen. I'm always freezing. The last time I had my blood check I was low on iron so I am on supplements now. I'm 2 1/2 yrs post op. Everything else is fine. Maybe because I don't have all that insulation anymore. LOL. Take care, Carey

I am always cold. My vitamin levels are fine though. I think it's just because of all the fat i don't have anymore.....in fact , my feet are freezing now. Hugs Linda

Yes I get cold all the time and my lab work came back all normal. I was told that we lost all our fat which acted as insulation for our bodies. I always dress in layers to try to stay warm on a daily basis and wear fannel in the middle of summer. Tricia

When you burn fat you give off heat in exchange. Then you feel cold. That's when I fart. It warms everyone. kp

I used to be hot all the time, and now I too am cold most of the time. I like cold better - I gotta say!

I am always cold now also. This didnt start until this summer. I have to wear a sweater at the office due to the air conditioning. Janice

Hi Jennifer, How are you, besides freezing all of the time? You can find me wearing a sweater most day's even though it's late June. I agree with the others it's because we are not as well insulated as we once were. Take care . God bless you, Annette

Hi Jennifer...Well I haven't had WLS yet...but I have read from several people that you will be cold in the summer...and I tell you I can't wait til that happens to me!! I am so hot and miserable now its not funny!! Hugs Judy

HI Jennifer, You are not alone, I am 2 weeks out of surgery and freezing all the time. When I did my walk this morning, I put on a sweatshirt, it was warm out, but it felt good to me. My husband passed me during my walk, yelled out the window to see if I was hot with the sweatshirt on. My bloodwork seems to be fine too! Here's to hoping we warm up soon! Hugs, Phyllis Gilbert
