Medic Alert Bracelet

Can anyone tell me what should be on a Medic Alert medallion for Bariatric Surgery? Jeanne

Hi Jeanne. Mine says: Gastric Bypass No NG Tube Blindly Vena Cava Filter (this is the Greenfield filter I had to have put in) Diabetes Contacts. When I was told to get one the main reason was that they didn't want us to be in an accident and have some medic put in a NG tube without knowing that we do not have a regular size tummy. I have 2 dog tags that face back to back and have a band (much like you see to color code keys) around both. I found it at Binson's. It cost $9 without the engraving. It is called "Fashion" something and they have changeable bracelets too. Jeanne

Hi Jeanne, When you have it finished, could you post a picture on your website? I'd like to see it. Is the medic alert something everyone with GBS needs to wear? My husbands having surgery really soon, but he's not a jewelry kinda guy. It sounds like it's too important not to wear. Any suggestions? Kim
