July 4th Holiday Plans

Celebration our nations Holiday............I ask you: 'WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND??" Details, details, and more details please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wil be working through the 5th (I get triple time where I work @ the university) hard to turn that one down! I leave on the 5th for 5 days up at my Mom's - the Memorial Service for my Father who passed 2/15/06 will be held on July 8th. I will be out of town through the 10th, on my way back home I plan to stop into Houghton Lake and see how Debbie Miers is doing on her recovery....then back home. I return on the 12th to work. Other than that, I anticipate lots of time on the Lake, Jet skiing, and lots of bon fires, barbeques, family, relatives, people I have not seen in 20 years, and more. I will be in the hospital, as surgery was rescheduled to July 3. Hopefully to be home a few days later. Hmmm...wonder if I will be able to see fireworks from the hospital room window?? Michelle

We'll be going to the Battle Creek Balloon Festival. I hate the cost because only today is bracelet day but the kids love it and the balloons and fireworks are great. Have a happy fourth! Sheryl In the Zoo

For a zillion years, my Mom, Dad and I had a huge 4th of July party at our cottage for my Mom's side of the family....sometimes as large as 80 people! My Mom always roasted a trillion-pound roast beef and everybody brought a di**** was a grand tradition. Lots of fun and lots of memories. Since my folks are both gone now, I've been going over to one of my cousins homes on another lake nearby. It's always a good time. We go for boatrides, eat, drink and are merry. It's the one (or maybe two) times per year I get to ride my cousin's wave runner, which I love! And this year, my cousins have spent $1,200 on fireworks, so I expect quite a show!!!! Happy Fourth of July to everyone!

I have a craft show in Houghton Lake on Saturday and Sunday at the middle school so if anyone is around that area, stop in and say HI!!!! Daughter and Soninlaw are coming home Monday and leaving Tuesday. Tuesday night we are going to the fireworks in Rose City. Plus we have to patol for the ORVers at night. Pretty basic holiday weekend for us!! Have a great weekend and don't work toooooo hard!!

I am going to my oldest Nephew wedding on Saturday down state in my home town. I am kind of nervous because I am bringing my new man to meet my family but everything will be ok then heading back to Traverse city to National Cherry festival for the week to have fun and experience the crowds. Tricia

I am having my 6th annual party on the lake Saturday evening, fireworks included. and then I am throwing my mom a 80th birthday party on Sunday, (50 miles away). My moms birthday is on the 4th .But on Tuesday the 4th, I will be chilling out at home on the boat I hope everyone has a great Holiday. Take care, Janice

I have no fun plans this year. I have lost a lot of jealous friends in the last year and have not been invited to anything! Usually i am invited to so much, so this year will be different. I am traveling saturday to buy some good fireworks in the evening. Other than that we are doing a new porch and hopefully start painting the outside of the house so we can get it sold and get away from pontiac. I want to at least find something fun to do with the kids on Tuesday. Hugs Linda

Don't have to heavy of a heart all week. Take time to relax while you have some time off! I'll be hanging with my family...resting.
