Product to help reduce hair loss
My hair stylist and I were talking about my surgery a few months back (before approval). She encouraged me to try this shampoo and conditioner for thinning hair. My hair is fine and she stated that I did not have enough hair to lose. She purchased for me Nioxin cleanser (shampoo) and Scalp Therapy. There is also Scalp Treatment. The kind she got for me is for thin hair (I am sure there are some for thick hair also). I tried the shampoo and therapy yesterday morning. The smell of the shampoo is a light peppermint. The Scalp Treatment is of a stronger peppermint. I put a small amount in my hand, rubbed my hands together to get full coverage then covered all my hair and focused on the scalp. Left it in for about 3 minutes and then rinsed it off. I could actually FEEL the stuff working on my scalp. Not just for a few minutes, but for almost an hour after getting out of the shower. It was a weird feeling!
She said another client of hers had WLS and has been using Nioxin for about 3-4 months and has noticed a difference. Has anyone else tried this product? Would be interested in hearing additional feedback.

This is a product that takes the hair you have which may be fine and lifeless and bring it back to its most voluminous state . They are excellent products, they help maintain the hair that you have, but won't stop hairloss. Rogain will help stimulate growth but its mainly hormone rush, anesthesia from surgery and trauma from all this going to your body showing in your hair, and most likely your skin and nails. Massaging your scalp also stimulates blood to the hair shaft which feeds the follicle and bulb. It does help but no miracles. Most over the counter shampoos have tons of harsher degergents along with waxes that tend to make it limp but dry.
Anything you use from a professional stylist is better grade shampoo to get your natural ph level in your hair back to its normal leve. Hope that helps. Good luck
I priced it and it's 50.00 for the starter kit. I tried other things first, knowing that is available. It's a personal preference, and seeing what works best for each person.
I use Biotin supplements 1000mcg 1 per day. This enhances nail and hair growth.
It works.
I also use Finesse shampoo and conditioner as it contains Soy Protein.
I have done this now 1 month and see a big difference already. I mean I could see my scalp my hair was so thin, and now, you cannot.
I do agree with the PH levels in professional hair products, and supporting my stylist, but if the product doesn't work, can you return it? I wouldn't know yet.
Also, I increased my protein intake and started to document it. On a daily basis.
And I see good improvement on my skin, nails and hair now.
It's all about protein in the end.
Best wishes.
