DENIED!!

Well I was DENIED!! Get this...because my psych. eval was not done by an in-network doctor. Well I called to make sure it didn't have to be an in network dr and the case manager told me as long as i paid for the eval on my own it was ok. I paid for the eval out of my own pocket and now I am Denied? I don't think this is right. I could just scream at BCN. I filed a formal complaint and I should hear something back within 24 hours. I have done everything they have wanted me to and this is just crazy. One thing I would suggest for people seeking to have surgery...get names, get everyones name that you speak to at the insurance company. I didn't have the last case managers name and that may be what holds me back. Stacey Boyd

peggy...r u still on line her...i don't have your number here with me at work or i would have called you first. they are saying that my psych eval was not by a bcn provider and there are some other factors in my records and that my pcp has been notified but then the pcp tells me to contact bcn. i am so confused. i just want to curl up in a ball and cry!

I would have been more surprised if you were approved. I have never ever seen anyone on this board get approved without going all the way to the in person appeal. If you really want it you have to fight long and hard to get it, but you will win. Hugs Linda
