Belly pics....

Wanna see my belly? My open RNY was on 6-21... so this is 5 days post-op. I had a bad reaction to the tape they used for my bandages. You'll notice the red puffy skin. Also towards the bottom you'll see some yellowing. That is minor bruising. I have a total of 33 staples. The hole from my JP Drain is completely closed already. Don't let the redness around the staples fool you. That really does not hurt. It is skin that is healing. Doesnt look bad at all!!!!!! At least you have no stretch marks, I had the glue closure for the first time(I had staples with both of my c-sections) and really liked it. Just dont let the skin heal over the staples...........little bit if a bite when its time for removal. How are you feeling otherwise???? ~~Simone

Thanks Simone. I feel okay. Sore and a bit stiff, but overall okay. I have a hard time eating... I am just SO full after a couple of bites. I can take water in if it is cold. I can't do room temps at all... Every day is better.

Hi Brandee...wow that looks like my belly after I had surgery a few years ago!! I had a hernia wrapped around my esophagus and I had to be cut open like that. I wish you well my friend...I know that hurts!!! Good Luck on you new life!!! Hugs Judy
