Appointment with PCP TODAY for referral

Hi Everyone!! I am from southeast Michigan and am on the long road to insurance approval for surgery. I am worried that my PCP hasn't really documented alot of my attempts at weight loss. I have a letter to the insurance all typed and I am going to ask him to sign it.Think that is a good idea? Wish me luck.

What insurance do you have? I have bcn and they required my letter to be on the doctors letterhead (i think that's what it's called) . But you could give it to the doctor to use as guidance, or maybe talk to him about what he plans to write. hugs Linda

I have Blue Cross Community Blue PPO.....Just got back from Doctor and he signed letter and put a copy in my chart...Hopefully It is ok.
