Well guys, This is my last week I am able to eat normal foods. "angst: Amazingly enough I don't want to just go out and "pig out" Instead I went to the store today and got "summer" foods. Like watermelon, corn on the cob and ice cream. So, this week I am going to eat some of the meals I love and won't be able to have for a LONG time. A week from today I start my liquid fast. I pray that I will have the strength to go 2 weeks on liquids. When you all did the liquid fast did you eat SF pudding? What else did you guys eat? Thanks for always listening and the awesome advice you always give. Hugs, Di

Hi Di, You can TOTALLY do the 2 week liquid diet... I know you can!!! The first 3 days are the hardest once you get over that.. It will get easy. And the bonus is you will loose weight.... I lost 26 pounds in 20 days (mine was a lil longer than 2 weeks) I did have sugar free pudding but I only had one a day. I got the jello brand pudding in the refrigerator section at Meijers. They have 3 different flavors that are sugar free and made with splenda... They are so GOOD!!!! I did sugar free popsicles, Carnation Instant Breakfast, chicken broth, SF Jello, SF Pudding. The truth is I was so full from the shakes that I didn't do a lot of the other stuff. You will feel so good about yourself that you won't want to cheat!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Kathy

Hi Di, Just keep telling yourself, "I can do ANYTHING for two weeks!" (and it's true - you can!) ...and after the surgery, when you are at a low spot, just repeat the same words. (I know that's my plan ;-) ) Congratulations on your upcomming Big Day! ~Mary

HI Diane: You can do it! Like others said....two weeks is a short time. Don't forget - you are my mentor (and my closest neighbor!) I'll be checking to see how you are doing through all of this and following your lead. My first appointment with the internist and behavioralist is tomorrow, the surgeon is next Wednesday. The office said they will try to push this through for me so I can have my surgery before school starts back up for me. Good luck - let us know how the first day goes!
