MICHIGAN LAP BANDERS

Hi is there any lapband patients on this board? Most topics I click on tend to be geared toward the RNY. I am looking for a good fill Dr. In the southeast area and hopefully a support group. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Stefanie, Usually your Dr that banded you will do all your fills....they are a bit touchy about things like that. If not you can call Port Huron there will be 2 Dr's there Ask for Tammy and she can help you or Check with Beaumont and they Have( I think) 1 Dr that does lap bands. You will find a support group on yahoo called Eastside bansters, ask Lydia if they still meet up for support. Lyd is a good person and her and her husband are both banded. Good luck! Thanks~ Maria

I was banded by Dr Genaw at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit. At one of my visits he did mention doing fills for patients banded elsewhere. Unfortunately, being that they are a HAP hospital they do mostly RNY's and the support is geared toward RNY's. Here's their office number 313 916-9782. Good luck, Mary C
