Hi Brandee, I did not see anything on the board today from you. Just thought that I would check in to see how you are doing today. I hope that today was better than yesterday. Were you able to come home yet, if not is there a plan for discharge? I am continuing to plug along. I too am having trouble get the water in, mentally forcing myself to "sip, sip, sip". I have be using the little 30 cc med cup that they gave me. Foolishly I did not use it first thing this morning and drank too much, too fast. Got the hiccups. The hiccups would only stop after I got up and went for a walk outdoors on my property. Also still contending with the foley cathater until Monday. Well, please keep us updated. Praying that you got to go home. hang in there, Richard R.

Hi Richard and Crew, I did come home yesterday. Got home around 1 p.m. or so. My best friend was here to greet me. Hubby helped me shower (that felt so GOOD) and my best friend, Brandy tucked me into bed. I slept for about five hours straight. That was wonderful. Last night I was able to put away 8 oz. of Nectar Protein with water. Today I had some Dannon Carb & Sugar Control Smoothing with Any Whey protein. I had that for breakfast, lunch and Dinner. I also had about 6 ounces of Nectar Protein and water today along with about 14 ounces of plain water. It felt good to drink. I am thursty today so that has been helpful in getting fluids in. Sorry if this is gross, but before I left the hospital I had a BM. I had one this morning and this evening I had another. I understand this is okay... is that so? Going potty does not seem to be a problem for me. However when I have to go I have to GO NOW. My biggest problem is that my sinuses are draining and I have to gently keep blowing my nose. Sometimes I catch myself in a cough and for that brief momenty Oh My ^!%@$~ does that hurt. But as quickly as it comes - it goes. I have been walking around the house. I have not ventured outside yet. The house across the street from us sold and I don't want our new neighbors to think they moved next to the Hunchback of Owosso. You amaze me Richard. Your strength is awesome. I am still floored that you were able to come home the day after your surgery! Even the nurses on our floor commented how great that was.... Keep me posted on how you do. Thank goodness the Foley comes out tomorrow! Brandee
