Debbie Miers gets to go home today! (fri-June 23)
My visit on 6/22 with Debbie was great. She was sitting up in the chair when I arrived and was chatting on the phone, walking around the halls, and had the IV machine removed. Though they left in a portion of it in her arm so if she needed anything it was available, she was feeling little or no pain at all. She had a popsicle, and some broth yesterday, and was looking very great.
Her Aunt & Uncle came to see her for a while and I left and then returned later and did her hair up and took her for a walk and we talked again.
Before I left I reminded her how important it is to take it SLOW and just rest.
She is supposed to be discharged this morning sometime and I anticipate that when she gets home and feels up to it she'll post on here herself.
I know she was thrilled to see the emails and posts about her surgery and recovery.
Her phone was ringing off the hook Thursday and I've just never seen someone bounce back so rapidly from major surgery but she DID!!!
She is now on the LOSERS BENCH officially and she looks forward to getting all the support from you wonderful friends!!!!
I want to extend a warm thank you to all of you for your words and encouragement, I truly feel that made a huge difference for her recovery!
This is my last post about Debbie----as she heads home today and starts her journey to be a beautiful skinny butterfly!!!
CONGRATULATIONS DEBBIE --- WE'RE ALL HERE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!
