Hi Girls! I am going GREAT! I am still at the hospital. Surgery was yesterday. Last night I had my nasal tube out (PRAISE GOD FOR THAT) and slept sorta... was up every hour. I have the best roommate a girl could ask for. She has lap RNY and me, open. We have shared our WLS firsts together. Richard W. from the boards is next door to us. He is doing GREAT. He met introduced himself to me in the hallway when I was going downstairs today for my leak test. My surgery took about an hour. Gallbladder was not removed. Everything was text book according to what Dr. Farhan and Dr. Obied told my family. Today I had the leak test - passed with flying colors. My catheter is out and I am off the pain pump. Tomorrow my drains come out. I am blowing 3500 on my SMILE machine and we (roomie and I) have breathing treatments every four hours. I did three laps last night around the floor and two this morning. I got up yesterday to clean up and freshen myself... got to do that today and put on new PJs and bottoms. LIFE IS GOOD! I am typing this message while I sip on water. My first fluid Oh, did I mention that my dressings came off today? I have 33 staples... not too bad. I think that is it. I don't know if I am making sense, but I feel GOOD and I am so proud of myself for how well I am doing! I may come home tomorrow... if not tomorrow then first thing Saturday morning Brandee
