WOW moment @ the Hospital while visiting Debbie Miers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I was at the hospital visiting with Debbie Miers who had her open RNY just earlier that morning. In the afternoon, when she was taken up to her room the nurses and aids all came in and introduced themselves and such to her and Mike, her husband. I had taken my scrapbook for Mike & Debbie to see (if she woke up at all) and when Debbie was sitting at the side of the bed she began to look at it. A nurse came in and sat down beside her and was looking at it and said "I thought you looked familiar....you really have lost alot of weight since you were here!!! When was your surgery?" And I told her July 19, 2005, same surgeon, same hospital, same wing. She said "wow....amazing". I guess for me it was a WOW because that's the first time I have stepped in to the surgical ward of the hospital since I was there and this nurse remembered me. Course.......I wonder, was I a good patient or BAD????? Either way, it was a wow moment for me to be remembered no matter "how"....doesn't matter. I'll be going to see Debbie after my walk this afternoon @ the gym---heck it's a major thunderstorm here right now since 4am with lightning and thunder so bad it scared my cat under my bed and shut off power and I woke up with my alarm clock flasghing 12:40....... Good thing I have sensors in my head that wake me up!! (I had them installed during my RNY! NOT!!!) So that's my WOW for this week so far! Stacey W
