Here I sit, 11 days until my big move to Oklahoma and I am scared to death *sighs* I will be moving from where everything I need is within walkable distance, out to the middle of BFE Oklahoma, where the only thing is animals and the HEAT *rolls eyes* I really don't know how I am going to handle it down there seeing as I will only know ONE person there, and that is my housemate. As most of you are well aware, and I readily admit, I have a hard time making and maintaining friends. I guess one of the things that scares me most is what i have come to call 'city' mentality. I am definately not a country girl and being thrown from all that I know into the middle of cow country is really going to be a culture shock. Okay, I guess I got that out of my system, maybe it really is what i need to get my life together, I dunno *shrugs* anyways, can all of you that wish to stay in touch PLEASE email me your snail mail addresses, and email addresses, and I will add them to my address book that I am keeping all of my pals in. When I get settled in Oklahoma, probably 2-3 weeks after the move, I will start making cards again and send everyone that gives me their address a card. well, heres to new beginnings. --Petal (aka heather, but as soon as things are finalized, Im changing my name)

Heather... I went from southern Cali to the middle of nowhere Indiana about 7 years ago. My housing went from box upon box upon box to living in the middle of 1000 acres of corn. I learned to enjoy the quiet, the peace, the slower pace of life. I learned to appreciate the sound of the wind in the trees, the crickets, and that I could walk naked and not have one person see let alone laugh at me. God hid me there for 3 years and I came out with such an improved state of mind and outlook on life. Look at it as an opportunity to have room to relearn who Heather..... aka Petal is and what she wants to do in life. If you give it a chance, you might find you really enjoy it. Also, you know no one which means no one knows you. What an awesome chance to start over without anyone knowing what you don't want them to know. You get to create Petal to be whom ever you want her to be. Best wishes on your new life! Sheryl In the Zoo
