Hi Linda, add beans to the things I don't like... My mom calls me Morris The Cat!!! How is spaghetti sauce without the noodles? I think I need to get over my whole "ewwwww Gross" mentality!! LOL I will tell you though, the eggs with cheese hit the spot after 20 days of all liquids- Pre Op! Thanks for the great idea's! Love, Kathy

Nope, no noodles or carbs yet. I am sitting here looking at a bariatric book that lists the foods you can have at this stage. it has fish, turkey, chicken , yogurt, tuna, cottage cheese, egg substitute, green beens, asparagus, peas, carrots, beets, squash, applesauce, pears, peaches, fruit ****tail, ripe banana, apricots, cherries, oatmeal, and cream of wheat. How about deviled eggs? Eggs were too heavy for me for a long time, but i love them now. What types of food do you like? Oh, i remember i loved tomato soup at this stage. Linda

Kathy one of the recipes in my book from my DR. in the pureed stage is 4oz of ground beef with taco seasoning and 2 tbs of the taco bell cheese sauce. I used turkey and it was really good and sits well also. After I cooked the turkey I ran it through the food processor to make sure it was very finely ground. I have also taken chili with no beans and added the taco bell cheese sauce and blended that and it was good. They both have loads of protein. Just a few ideas. Stacy

Kathy~ How about oatmeal or Cream of Wheat? Or you could try hummus if you like that. Mashed potatoes with some spray butter tasted really good too. I hope you find something tasty soon! Sandra

Kathy I know you have mentioned things you don't like. Have you tried any of them post op? I wanted to at even the THOUGHT of cottage cheese and let me just say that it was ALL I ate for like a week straight it was SO yummy (and nevermind that it has 15g of protein in 1/2c)! If you haven't noticed yet, your tastes totally change after surgery and you just might want to consider trying some of the things off of your do not like list. Hope you find some foods that work for you! Jennifer -69lbs gone FOREVER in 11 weeks!
