7 days post op and checkin in
Hey guys! I am 7 days out and thought I'd let you know that I am doing really well. I feel good-still tired but doing things again. You really learn how to listen to your body or you pay! Last nite I found out I didn't listen yesterday and had to take some pain meds during the nite because my "guts" hurt like fire. But that is gone today and I am going to take it much easier--get my hair colored and go home and take a rest! My husband is out of the country now (he left 3 days post op on business very reluctantly) and I am grateful for the time to recover with just my kids home. He was so nervous that I was glad he didn't have to see me for those few rough days. By the time he gets home I'll be the old me again-only already down a pants size!!! My boys (11 and 13) have been awesome. They won't even let me water the dogs! Thanks for all your prayers. I really know that God is working in me every moment.
That is so great Mari! Congratulations to you and yes, it does take some getting used to in the beginning, but you will learn....you already are! That's great that your kids are taking such good care of you! There is something about "Mom" being sick that really gets them in gear! No doubt about it...kids LOVE their mothers!
