I have a date!!!!!!

Went to Dr. Pesta's office for my surgical consultation visit today. I got the last date available for this month - June 30th. Looks like I will be getting out of the hospital on Sunday July 2nd, pending no complications. Dr. Pesta and I talked it over and I will be having open versus lap. He said he could start me lap but if had to switch to open I would have more incisions. Tomorrow I start my 'two protein drinks and one low carb/high protein meal'. Thank you Kathy! Glad to hear you are home and doing well. Have they found anything out about your liver yet? Dr. Pesta will be doing open. I made that decision based on 'you could have lap incisions AND open incision if we have to change midstream'. UMMM...no thanks. The less the better.

Judy, Thank you for your support and prayers! It is great that I got a date that close but when I consider I went to seminar in February, it actually took quite a bit of time from start to finish, well almost finish. Hope you get your approval soon and can be a loser too! Michelle

Thank you Theresa. It's going to be a pretty busy week around here (last week at work), so I won't be thinking too much about the surgery. But next week I won't be working, so....... EEK! Will have to try to keep busy!

Thank you Carla. I actually have a large container of Whey Protein from GNC (it's about half gone now). It's chocolate flavored, so it's not that bad. Good luck to your and your approval process.
