I didn't lose much if any at all until March 2006 and I had surgery July 19, 2005. I noticed my protein intake was not the way it should be, so I have adjusted it. I use Finesse shampoo and conditioners with soy protein, and take additional Biotin to try to help. Since March, I have lost about 20 percent of my hair, thinning. However I cut it short and just make sure I am taking in the protein, and vitamins I am suppose to. Everyone is different, some lose more, some less. I think I read on another post it's due to the anesthesia? And another person told me to use Knox Gelatin to help with hair and nails after WLS. I just want my hair long again...will take some time. I have to be patient but in 94 degree weather that we had here today, I'm glad it is short!!! Stacey

I'm afraid I can't help you. It was a lost cause for me before the surgery! Jon

I really started to notice A LOT of hairloss at 3 months........so I started to take bio-tin (spelling?) from GNC for hair, nails and hair. I still lose a little, but hardly any compaired to 3 weeks ago! Thank goodness I have really thick hair.
