Looking for some insight on different proteins
I have been using 8 oz of milk, a packet of carnation instant breakfast (no sugar added) and one scoop of the any whey unflavored protien. That is giving me 30 grams of protein per drink, so I was only having to drink 2 of them a day. I have been tolerating them very nicely, until this week. Now all of a sudden they make me feel like im going to be sick.
I am going to buy some of the zero isopure alpine punch, i had some at a friends this week and it tasted okay to me.
What I am wondering is if anyone has used the one that you have to mix with water vs. the ready made and how it compares in taste. Any input would be helpful.
Thanks,
Stacy
Stacy I bought the Zero Carb Alpine punch powder and I returned it and went right back to the ready to drinks! I could not for the life of me get it to mix clear like it says on the container. It did smell great but I could not bring myself to drink it everyday because of it not mixing well enough. I see it this way.....I am not spending NEAR as much on food these days so even though the RTD is pricy it will offset itself $ wise in the end.
Good luck and I hope you are not becoming Lactose intolerant.

Thank you Jennifer for the input. I am doing okay with yogurt and the light and fit carb control smoothies, so i have a feeling its just the protein itself.
And like you said its 3.00 something a bottle for the RTD and thats less then a value meal at McD's. Which I wouldnt have hesitated to spend when i was eating that junk.

I never did like powders. I can't do milk, even skim...yuck.
GNC has a product:
Nature's Best Isopure Clear Whey Protein- So clear you can see right through it.
In a variety of flavors. When I first tried them Blue Raspberry was my fav.
Now its Apple Melon. Comparable to Kool Aid when cold, and easy to drink.
No sugar, 20 ounce bottle has 40 gms of protein.
They have Mango too, and other flavors but I have only tried those two.
So much so I bought two cases of the stuff just last week and do a bottle a day.
Plus my protein bars: Power Crunch Peanut Butter Fudge (14 gms protein)
