KCQ COUNTRY MUSIC FEST. I'M GONNA BE ON STAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah---me!!! I'm singing back up vocals with the steel wheels band on Saturday morning at 9:45 a.M. Come out and enjoy the show!!! I'm so pumped. This is going to be a hard show due to the fact that the drummers wife was just killed on Sunday and their 6 year old daughter is in stable condition in ann arbor due to a horrible car accident in saginaw. The bass guitar players wife has cancer too. My divorce hearing was supposed to be yesterday but has been rescheduled due to a trial I guess. We all need to release on stage I tell ya. We are doing "believe" by brooks and dunn, "holy water" by big and rich, "sweet home alabama", "hicktown" and a hank williams medley. It should be great!!!! Hope to see some of you out there, remember it's all free!!! Love ya, susan

Oh my gosh, Susan! I met those guys a few months ago at the bar I host karaoke at! They are the nicest guys, and wow, TALENTED!!!! It was such a shock to hear about the accident...how tragic. And the bass player's wife's cancer too. I sat with them most of the night they were there....I sang with the drummer I beleive....short, stocky guy...I think he's Italian? Super nice guy. My heart goes out to them. Please tell them Theresa from the North Shore Lounge in Houghton Lake sends her best, okay. Congratulations on the gig with them though! That sounds like a dream job! They are so talented and that helps makes your job that much easier when they are so capable, right? I have to work, but please let them know I wish all of you the best of luck! You know what, Susan? I am a dunce!!! I just realized I had Steel Wheels mixed up with some other musicians that have come out to see me. I did meet the lead singer of Steel Wheels and we sang together, etc. He's incredible! But I did not meet the other guys. This other band comes out and that is who I thought you were talking about. Hi Susan..I was at the KCQ fest today...you guys were great!!!! I am hot, and a little burned but had a great time!!! Judy

My sister and her friends went to the concert today. They were in line early hoping to get a spot in the shade. They ended up dead center in all the heat. Alex (my sister) actually passed out and was assisted by the medics that were on standby. They made her drink three bottles of water in twenty minutes and had her friends go get their car and bring it to the entrance so that they (the medics) could drop her off. They left about 1/3 into the concert. That has never happened to my sister. My mom was obviously scared and did not tell me until after sis got home and they were able to cool her down. She is doing fine now. I have been there when it was hot - but today would have been hell... I hope there weren't too many people who over heated themselves. Brandee

Hi Brandee Yeah I saw that when it happened...I told my mom that I think someone was heat stroke or something over in the middle of the crowd. I am so glad she is ok!!! It was hot there and believe me...the shade was hard to find there...made me mad that the tents had the shade areas taken over...I guess I am either to fat to enjoy the concert there or I am getting to old to stand the heat...LOL Hopefully by next year I will be thinner and can enjoy it more!
