I got approved!!!

Congratulations! Mine went fast too - 5 weeks from consult to approval - but wow - that is amazing. All my best as you start your new life. Someone in my office had lost 100 pounds after a medical leave and it had turned into an office sport/hobby/pastime where everyone tried to figure out which surgery she had. She continues to deny it and no one believes her. After watching the unnatural facination/betting on her weight loss, I decided just to be upfront - figuring a) they would all speculate otherwise and spend more time on the topic than if I just told them b) I have to do a lot of entertaining for business and I knew that nothing I could eat would look like what they were used to And now that I'm down 70 lbs and 4 - 5 sizes in 6 months - I'm glad I did. I can't imagine how much gossip there would have been if I hadn't just been upfront. Besides, people who haven't seen me since last year are walking past me and not recognizing me. In the last 2 weeks - 4 people who are business friends that I don't see much - have outright not known it was me. Besides - now I have a built in cheering section. Everyone has been great. That's funny about ppl not recognizing you....i'll tell you the funniest encounter i had a few months ago. I was at the dentist, one i've had my whole life and all my family goes there. Well my uncle who i hadn't seen since before surgery was scheduled right after me....when the dentist was done he told me my uncle was in the waiting room and he and his staff sat back and watched...when i went out my uncle says ooh baby you are one sexy mama! The whole office and i were all rolling in laughter. My uncle says what? can't a man flirt anymore? I then told him "hi uncle Danny" lol but it doesn't look right you flirting with your neice. He was so shocked and said man your sister told me you lost weight, but DAMN you look GOOD! I am still laughing about it. Hugs Linda
