Hi, I thought someone posted a website where people post things they are giving away or selling. I can't remember what it is. We are looking for a small to medium dog preferably a puppy that doesn't shed. We had to put our 9 year old Black Lab to sleep a week ago today because of cancer. My kids really want a new dog. WE have been to the human society and petsmart, but haven't found anything. Thanks, Lynn

A terrier or a schnauzer mix would be more likely to not shed. Or a poodle. Labs shed like crazy as you probably already know LOL! It is hard to find what you are looking for exactly at a shelter. You have to compromise a little. Try the county shelter, even though sometimes you have to pay a couple of vet bills, they usually have tons of dogs to choose from, and these dogs only get a couple of weeks in there. Wendy

All dogs shed to some degree. Some more than others. Some breeds like the Bichon Frise are low shedding. I concure with the previous poster that Petfinder is a great place to locate a dog in need of home. Good luck!

Petfinder.com is the best, My sister is part of a pet rescue in the macomb area.....she has seen it all. I have been adopting my pets for the last 5 years and it so rewarding......I'm trying to place a big black 1 year old lab that has no idea he is around 90 lbs, he loves to be loved and needs a good home where people will play and pay attention to him. He adores children.... Hugs Maria
