Secret pals?????? I want one!!!

Awww, guys, I feel left out...How do I get a secret pal?? I'm really nice...lol!!

I am not sure if you still email jen allen for a secret pal or not. I signed up in december of last year and my pal sent me gifts for dec, jan, feb and totally forgot i existed, were suppose to particiapte till the picnic in august. that is when we reveal ourselves to our secret pal. i wont attend the picnic as i have no secret pal. Think hard before you become a secret pal, its not always fun when you send and get nothing in return. i emailed jen and she was suppose to find me a new pal, well i never heard anything from the new one. i emailed jen several times and my emails go un-answered. people on here tell me shes busy and probably dont have time. i am busy too but i take time in my life for the important things. you have a great day.

Yes, Jen Allen has been the Secret Pal organizer, and a great one at that. I know she is getting prepared for a move to Texas, but is still planning to have the WLS BBQ in August, last I knew. By the way, the BBQ is not just for secret pals, even though that's where they will reveal themselves to each other. The party is for everyone on this board to get to know each other, gab, and just support each other! The reveal is just part of it. I don't have the exact particulars on it as far as a dish to pass, etc., but I'm sure it will be posted soon. As far as the secret pal game goes, Jen will be moving so I don't know if anyone is going to take it on and continue organizing it. Yes, some have had some bad experiences with secret pals, and that's truly a shame, but most I'd say are having fun. I happen to have a wonderful one! I'm not sure if you know how it works, but everyone who wants to participate is assigned a person to be there secret pal...you send this person something at least once a month (we had themes to follow this year), whether it be a gift, note, email, etc. The main thing is staying in touch and being supportive. You will have also been assigned to someone as their secret pal, so you will be receiving things once a month as well, and so on.... That's the just of it.
