Ulcers, anyone?

The extreme pain/belching/bloating/nausea I have been having has been diagnosed as ulcers. They are not sure if they are in my new tummy or my old one!! I have to go in for an upper GI. Has anyone had this problem? Would appreciate any guidance either on this board or e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks. Diane

Yep, i have an ulcer from the heavy duty steroids they put me on right after surgery for my breathing. It can be very painful, and gets worse every day...the doc gave me prevacid and it worked after just a few hours. Hugs Linda

Diane, yes I developed an ulcer just 3 months out in my new stomach. It felt so bad I couldn't keep anything down kept throwing up and a terrible feeling. I thought I had food stuck but it was the ulcer. I had to go to the hospital it wa so bad. I had a scope and now I'm on Protonix and have felt fine ever since. I go back next week for my 6 month check up. Let me know if you have any other questions.
