Some protein sources I found

First, I'm off to Kalamazoo, MI for the week .....probably won't be able to post much....or answer emails. Friend in need and I'm on my way down. Please remember her family in prayer...and her son. That is most important. I was at our "co-op" store today getting some supplies (yes, I eat organic foods sometimes!) and learned something. So I thought I would share. Hey, when you find a new protein source, why not? These are called "PRIMAL STRIPS" ...don't let the name fool you!!! I didn't! High Energy, low fat, super protein (well, I don't know about super) meatless jerky. I picked up the Texas BBQ and O M G.......IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! Label: calories 81 fat 1 gm cholesterol 0 sodium 383 mg carbs 11gm fiber 1 gm sugars 5 gm PROTEIN 10 GMS It contains: NON-GMO isolated soy protein, water, unrefined evaporated cane juice, naturally brewed soy sauce, natural smoke flavoring, sea salt, vinegar, natural vegetarian spices, NO MSG. 1.0 ounce serving. I imagine if you want to try it, check your food co-op or health food store. It's made in Taiwan (oh goodie) but distributed out of Moundsville, WV. (aka Hicksville?) ________________________________________MORE: OK NUMBER TWO PROTEIN FIND: I found a high protein cereal. Brand: BACK TO NATURE Name: ENERGY START CEREAL (HI PROTEIN CRUNCH) 15 grams protein in 1/2 cup no artificial flavors or colors or preservatives 1.5 gm fat 0 cholesterol sodium is 110 mg potassium is 340 mg carbs 28 g dietary fibers 3 gms sugars 14 gm (however its all evaporated cane juice- no 'sugar' is on the label) located at Meijer in the cereal Isle (where the healthy stuff is) OR www.backtonaturefoods.com Now, when I eat this cereal, I add a handful of slivered almonds, and some raisins, and skim milk, and it takes me a good half hour to eat this. Then I'm full for about 3 hours. Or feel satisfied. I only eat this every other day and I showed it to my NUT and she seemed to think it was OK...just don't over do it. As for the sugars, I have not had problems with it, and I find it keeps me 'regular' and for 15 grams of protein in a whopping 1/2 cup, that aint alot to have to eat.
