Michigan Lap-Banders???

Usually I post on the Lap-Band message board but I was wondering how many lap-banders we had from Michigan. Would love to hear from you.

Hello, I am in the process of getting my wls approved by my insurance. I have my psych. evaluation in a couple of weeks. Not too many lap band people on this message board. However it is great to talk with people that live in your own back yard. You'll be glad you stopped in to say, "Howdy". Even though the surgeries are different, the struggles and the diet are the same, so I am told!

Hi Shelly and Tammy, I just joined today. I am scheduled for surgery (Lap Band) on June 22. I feel very fortunate that my insurance approved the surgery on the first attempt, but I it also makes me realize all the co-morbidities that I have been dealing with over the past few years. I pray that this decision will reduce risk factors and improve my health. My Primary Care Physician has been promoting WLS surgery for over the past three years to me. The final blow was having OSA and dealing with a full face CPAP mask each night. I feel like I am sleeping with a gas mask over my face. I am a bit anxoius, but am deterimine that I will do all that I can to make this process go as smooth as possible. Hi Richard, Good luck to you on June 22, I will be praying for you. I also have sleep apena with a cpap machine so I know how you feel. Keep in touch, I would love to see how you are doing. Shelley
