Just a quick question
I am 4 days out and feeling pretty good. But it seems that every evening about 6pm I couldnt stomach another drop of liquid if you paid me and I start running a low grade fever. Im wondering if the the liquid thing is just my new tummys way of saying I have had enough. I had my mom look at my 6 small incisions tonight and they arent red or swollen, so Im not really worried about an infection. Did anyone else run a low grade fever a few days out from surgery?
Hugs,
Stacy
In order of danger-
1. shortness of breath
2. pain
3. fever
If you ever become short of breath call immediately
Pain control is a relative thing. You have to decide if it is just surgery pain or something more severe.
Fever can be an infection or your system responding to your new chitlins. Either way, call your doctor and see what his opinion is.
Feel better. I can hear you have already lost weight. You are not typing as heavy.

Your too cute Kevin! I have no shortness of breath and no pain to speak of. I did call the Dr this AM after developing a rash on my chest and we came to the conclusion that I am allergic to the liquid loratab. I was only taking it at bed time and that was when I would start a low grade fever and horrible night sweats, so bad that i would have to get up a couple of times in the night to change my jammies. And then I would just lay there freezing to death with no fever. Hopefully that will help once that is out of my system, I did start on liquid benadryl this AM.
thanks,
Stacy
