Been a while......CRAZY UPDATE
Well it's been a while since I have posted on here so I figured I would give a few updates on whats going on with me.
As most of you know I was going through a nasty divorce which started back in Sept, well it is all done and overwith THANK GOD. Well it is funny the way things work, months ago I said I will NEVER get married again or never have another child again. That was untill I met the man of my dreams when I least expected it. The last thing I wanted was to jump into a relationship right away.......but what do you do if it is Mr.Wonderful?? So I went with my heart and gave it a chance like my family said to do. They all said your 27 you need to move on in your life and not all men are unfaithful. I was more than ready to move on, my marriage was over long before it was actually over if you know what I mean. I was thinking who would want ME, newly divorced, siingle mom of a toddler?? I found out ppl were intrested still, but ofcourse I think what are there intentions...thinking that everyone has a motive, ya know. So I allowed myself to open up to this Mr.Wonderful. Before you know it he asked for my 3 yr old son and I to move in. I was thinking is this crazy or what?? Well folks.....I am happy to tell you he asked me to marry him yesterday. Can ou believe it I am engaged?? The ring is beautiful and the proposal was perfect!! I am so excited. My family is estatic!!! He has never been married, no kids, he is an engineer/supervisor at GM, adorable, wonderful family, so caring and generous, great guy....the list can go on and on. I think how am I so lucky to have found him?? He went and asked my parents for my hand in marriage and my parents gave there blessings. They love and adores him as do my siblings. My dad said he would be honored to have him as a son in law. This is the dad who wouldn't talk t me during part of my divorce because he thinks you stay married regardless of what happens. This is the dad who insisted I am not to date (like I am a 12 yr old). When I new I found the man that was going to be around I decided to introduce him to my family, my dad was having a fit and said he didn't want to met him. So I brought him to a function where my family was there. My dad was ike a totally different person, shok his hand, talked with him and took a liking to him right away. By the end of the night my dad invited him to his house the following day for our every Sunday dinners. THANK GOD my dad likes him, because I am so close to my family. It is just so crazy that all this happened over the past 6 months. So we will plan on a wedding sometime in 2007'.

Would also like to wish Melissa V a speedy recovery on her TT and hernia repair
Also wanted to let Terri and Van know I am thinking of both of them often, wishing them both well wishes and hope for the best out of there situations. I've been that difficult time and feel for you both.
Kevin and Jon I miss you guys...hope your staying out of trouble!! LOL (if possible)
As I said I am not on much so I need to catch up on what is going on with everyone else. Hope all is well and hope to get on here more often now.

Congratulations Lauri! Isn't it amazing how things happen for reasons we can't explain and then out of nowhere everything falls into place.
I had surgery on March 31st and although at first it was rough things are great now! I can finally get all of my protein and liquids in and that has helped tremendously! Still struggling a bit to get all of my vitamins/supplements in but that too will come with time. I can't believe what a difference in energy 9 weeks and 58lbs will make! Thanks so much for your help/advice prior to my surgery!

It is not so crazy. My divorce was final in May of 99 and I was married by August of that same year. ! Also to the man of my dreams..7 years this August! It is possible to find true love and be happy. He also adopted my two children from my previous marraige and we adopted two more kids from foster care together! We are happy as clams the 6 of us. I wish you all the luck and love you deserve.

Thank you so muh for the encouraging words. PPL who just hear the story think it's crazy, but the ppl around us often, like family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. see how much in love we are and how we interact with eachother. I don't question if he loves me, It is clear by the way he looks at me, touches me, talks to me, and so on. I question ho could I love someone for so msny years and it all come to an end hating him, then I fall in love with Mr.Wonderful (David) and look at my marraie now like I feel like I was never truely in love. I was young when I got married though and was with him since highschool. I said to my family that chances are I would find someone divoced, had kids or both. He has neither. But I also said he has to be over 30. LOL I just feel like at that age he would be more settled in life and know what he wanted. And I met him on X-mas eve over the phone, we went on our first date Dec 27th and knew the first time I met him in person that one day I was going to marry this guy. All family and friends we told were engaged are not all all surprised, they all say we knew you two were going to marry...your perfect for eachother. Glad you shared your stry with me...it's like a fairytail!! Glad your family of 6 is all happy and that you found true love.

Marti L is out of town, and we've all been very, very busy, so she hasn't had a lot of time to check in on the board.
