anxious

Today is my preop appointment with Dr. Gluck. I am not scheduled until July 17 but he is going to be going to a seminar out of town for a few weeks so I have to see him early. I am so anxious because I have to bring my mother. I don't have a great relationship with her and everything in life has to be about her. She always has to be the center of attention and today of all days I need it to be about me. So, please keep me in your prayers today that I make it through these few hours with my mother. LOL And I don't get the crap scared out of me at my appointment. Dr. Gluck is awesome and goes over step by step of the surgery with you and shows you the interments he uses and what you need after and I am a little afraid "reality" Will set in. I have only 45 days until surgery YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys, Diane

Diane, Why are you taking your Mom with you? I hope your day goes well. Just remember to MAKE this day about you. Don't let your Mom ruin this for you. It will seem so much more real after today. Good luck! Leeanne

Oh my goodness, I think we are sisters because we have the same mother....Would her feelings get really hurt if you told her that you didn't need her to go? Oh yes, and would she not call you until you called her first afterward? Oh yes, and would she try to come up with something negative about wls, just to make you nervous? If you answered yes to all of the above, maybe we should get tested to see if we really are sisters. BUT, she will be the first person to tell you how great you look and she will notice how great you are feeling. Right? Go to your appointment and remember all the positive stuff you have learned right here at OH. Your friends here will be thinking of you.
