Need Dr.Schuknechts (sp) new number & address????

Hi everyone. Well tonight I expierenced the worse pain I have ever had. It was worse than my double Hernia. I had to call an ambulance. The ER Dr. suspects bowel obstruction from the xrays. she did not want to release me tonight, but since Dr.S isnt out of the hospital I went to. She said it would be o.k. if I went home, with the condition that the ER continues to try to reach Dr.S and I do the same at home. They feel I may possible need immediant surgery. Does anyone have his new address & phone number??? They sent it to me in a letter, but I'm in the process of moving into my new house and almost everything is packed away. I cant find it. Also---anyone that has expiereced bowel obstrucion, PLEASE... give me input, advice, anything. This is HORRIBLE pain and it feels more in the upper stomach near my pouch. Kerry, My oldest daughter just went through this in April. In the ER sent home after 5 days no treatment Dr Schuhknecht was so pissed. He did the repair for her and she is doing great. Im glad your daughter is doing good. Was it a hard surgery to recover? was she laid up long? Thanks for replying to my post!!

The surgery itself was not hard. She had some internal hernia's her screen tore from a previous hernia repair and she has a very large panni that will be taken care of in August, that has caused other problems. She has had 7 surgeries in the last 5 years 2 of which were c-sections. Lots of scar tissue. She does not heal well and got a bad infection. (Normal for her) But Dr S. took alot of the scar tissue out during this surgery so she has a whole new scar line which made her panni a little smaller. A plus for her. She was only down for a week and home from the hospital in 2 days. No driving for a week, no lifting for 2. Like I said before she is doing really well now. Once in a while she has a little trouble with the hernias that will be part on the surgery in August but nothing major. Get to see the doc asap its nothing to mess with she let it go for 6 weeks thinking it was a food allergy. Blessings, Michelle

I've had 2 obstructions and I agree, the pain is worse than any I've had before. After the last trip to the ER my doctor did surgery to repair an internal hernia that she believed was causing the blockages. Time will tell. I wish you well.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I hope your all healed now. Did they open you up with incision or laproscopy to repair the obstruction?? I am in the middle of moving into my new house. Im so bummed...not to mention scared.

Kevin, Thank you so much!!!! Im going to call him in the morning. This hurts like hell & is scaring me. I lost 6 pounds in 2 days because im only drinking water & my protien. I hope I dont have to get surgery. How is everything going for you, Kevin? All healed up from your TT?
