Hey Gang - I got my one year surgerversary pictures taken this week. I've uploaded them to my picture trail account. If you want to check them out just click on the www under my posts. I'm doing GREAT!!! It's warming up (YIPPIE) and the sun is shining. We've got an extended weekend and then the kids just have 1 1/2 weeks of school left and they'll be out for the year! Our family will be relocating over the summer. Actually at the end of June, we'll be moving up into the thumb more... Sebewaing to be exact. I'm nervous about it. The kids won't know ANYONE, and I will know ONE person - Toni Reese!!!!! I'm sure I'll be pestering her until I get to know more people up there. You all have a safe and fun holiday weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laurie

I was happy in Lapeer. My grandma asked us to come live in her empty house in Sebewaing. Over the winter someone broke into it and was living in it for a while. She started getting heat bills for it (she lives in Florida now). NOTHING is selling in that area and she would rather us live in it then it sit empty. The real blessing - it's RENT FREE!!! All we have to pay is the utilities and maintanence. We will finally be able to save up money for a house of our own. I love my house we have now, but rent and utilities are way too much ($1700 per month). It's just crazy!!!!!! Not looking forward to moving though. Although it will be a whole new area for my MK business, that'll be cool too!! Laurie

Laurie i am so proud of the great job you've done. And you did it all in a year, how amazing is that? I'm sorry you're moving farther away, but happy for you that it's going to be rent free!! Don't worry, you and your kids will adjust, and who knows, you might just love it there! Congrats on the awesome weight loss!! Hugs Linda

Laurie, You look absolutely beautiful!!! Loved the pics.... Hey! I have an appointment with Dr. Schuhknecht this Wednesday for my TT!! I can't wait!!! I hope my TT goes as well as yours did!! Hope all goes well with your move.... I know how that goes! we have moved 3 times in the last year and half. Now we finally have a place to call home for many years to come, but it hasn't been easy!! My kids have bounced back pretty good.... I am the one with the tremendous amount of guilt!!! I had a meeting at my son's school yesterday and I was told what a well-rounded kid he is and what a strong foundation he has!! That made me feel real good!!! Considering everything else.... Well..... good luck again and take care! Nikki

Nikki - that's great about your tt consult!!!!! I just love Dr. S, he's been great! I'm glad that your kids have done so well with moving. I do think that it's all in how our attitude is towards it. We paint it to be a good thing, and they automatically think of it as a good thing!! It is a wonderful feeling when others tell you that your child/ren are doing great. Keep me informed on your TT. Hugs, laurie

Laurie, You look so beautiful! Gorgeous pictures, pretty clothes and a great haircut! Yet another adventure for you and your family. You'll all do great. So nice that you will be living by Toni. Will your hubby still be close enough to work? Will you be home schooling again? Hope your transition is smooth. Blessings, Michelle

Thanks Michelle - It's funny the difference between what I see and what other people see though!! Steve wil have a commute (hour and a half****il Christmas, and then he can put in a transfer request for Saginaw. We haven't made any decisions on schooling yet, honestly I'm just trying to get through this school year!! I sure wouldn't recommend Lapeer schools for anyone with a LD child!!! They've taken since January just to get his IEP, and now he has it but the year is over - DUH!!! gggrr, oh well, I'll get off that soap box. We're excited. Oh yes, and Dr. S said that I could run in the Crim this year!!! This will be my first 10K - I'm soooo excited about it. I don't know if I'll like it or not but I want to be able to say that I did it. Hugs, Laurie
