If you are post-op and are having a mammogram, PLEASE tell the technician that you are a WLS patient! Last year I was a 48DD and this year I am a 38C/D (still trying to figure that one out). This lets the person who actually READS the films know that there isn't something wrong because of a huge loss of breast fat/size. I have breast cancer in my family, and I do try to get my mammograms each year. I also don't want to come back for any extra films because something didn't look right. FYI - everything went great. They did had to take another picture because of a fold/overlapping problem....now I KNOW I will have to have that boob lift!!

In the theme of breast. I had implants done after all my weight loss and I had a cyst form. Well I was sent to a breast surgeon and he informed me that you should not have a mamorgram after implants that you should request catscans. I was not told this by my surgeon who did my breast. Just a FYI!
