Hi, I'm not from MI either but am relocating shortly after surgery (maybe in October or November). It's nice to see someone else is in the same boat. I'm going to Detroit, don't know how far that is from where you are going. I've been lurking on this board for a while now just to see how the people are and they all appear to be quite friendly. Hi John, My husband and I just moved here to Paw Paw (near Kalamazoo) from CT last year. We moved here due to the cheaper cost of living. It is an amazing difference! We have not yet made very many friends and would love to meet you, though I don't know how close we are to where you are going. I don't know Michigan well being from the Northeast. Hi John and Jenn! Welcome to Michigan! I am from Owosso (sorta in the middle of Flint and Lansing and a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Saginaw). My sister and her family live in Alanson, which is near Petoskey and close to Boyne City. It is beautiful up there... actually, that is where we are headed this weekend. I am new to this board by a few weeks... surgery is scheduled for June 26th and the people here are the best ever! You'll like it here... there is no better place to be than OH Michigan!
