Looking for the preparation list that was posted here.....
You can find that on a lot of profiles although I'm not sure who's or what post it was on before.
I took some slippers and some big Tee shirts and some loose fitting boxer shorts. Magazines are nice and on my lipectomy I took a portable DVD player and watched my favorite movies. Chap stick, robe and hair brush, tooth brush and extra underwear/socks are pretty cool too. It's up to you as to what will make you more comfortable. Take a whoopy cushion and some fake dog doo to freak out the nurses.
Positive vibes for you.

Are you having open or Lap RNY? I had Lap RNY and was discharged in 24 hours. The only thing I took was a book (never read from it). I went in with stretch pants and a large top and I left in the same thing. After surgery, I was so out of it, I had my phone turned off. I did walk down the hall the evening of surgery and ate a bit after surgery. Just a warning, the nurse may not be knowledgeble in WLS and might serve you a sugar snac and may bring you a pain pill instead of a shot. You will be the one to monitor your intake while you are hospitalized. Right now you will need to concentrate on what you will need after surgery more than what you will take to the hospital.
