I'm home and doing well

Hey all, I couldn't remember if I put this on the MI board, but I wanted to let you know I am home (came home Fri Lap band on Wed.) and am doing well. Getting used to the tolerances (intolerances) of my pouch as it lessesns in swelling. Who new a sip was so darn tiny LOL Anyway, Thanks for the well wishes before by big day. Randi

Congratulations!! How are you feeling? Two weeks til my surgery so Ive just begun my liquid diet my doc requires. I cant imagine how to sip all the time. Out of everything thats the one part I cant figure out. Hope you are resting and feeling better each day! Kathryn

Don't know if the lap band makes it different, but I found that sipping, per se, wasn't the best for me. I actually had to pour the liquid into my mouth or I ended up with a lot of air going down with it. Granted it was still a small amount, but when I sip, I get the air, too! It's a learning adventure! You're gonna do just fine, take it one day at a time and don't worry about competing with anyone. Take care, Pam
