First of all, Happy Easter! Now to a problem that I'm sure alot of people are having - what to eat for breakfast! Right now I eat either a South Beach Cereal Bar (10 gr of protein) or have a glass of Syntrax Nectar Protein (25 gr of protein). I know that protein is important, but can you make suggestions as to what I can eat that is good for me (tasty would be nice too!), doesn't have alot of carbs and will fill me up??

I'm not Dr Flabby. but certainly flabby... Great minds think alike Rhonda! I too just had a South Beach "Meal Replacement Bar" for my breakfast. It has 19 g of protein. Certainly not a filler but throw in a glass of skim milk with 9 gms of protein and I am full for, ummm, well.. 2 hours tops. Between those 2 items it takes my carb count at 43 so since I am trying to stay below 50 every day I too could use the same help. For Easter dinner it is off to Downtown Detroit (I live near Flint) as my daughter is a hostess at Hockey Town and has to work today. So her break will be our Easter dinner. Never been there so I am looking for anyone who has to offer WLS meal suggestions. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Lots of times for breakfast I'll have a bowl of all-bran with a protien drink poured over it instead of milk. Add some fresh blueberries and a couple packs of Splenda and it's a tasty, low-carb-high protien breakfast with good fiber! Tim

The protein I drink is Lemon Tea and I don't think it would be too good over All Bran...

I eat oatmeal and a piece of fruit every morning for breakfast. This helps me get in my protein and my fiber. It also helps me get a good start to the day to remind me how healthy I need to eat that day. Suzanne 300/150

I love my omelet's. I have one about every day. I make a three egg omelet with a lot of different fixing like bacon, mushrooms, onion, ham, cheese (of course), pepperoni, hamburger, etc. Whatever you like you can put in an omelet. My favorite is a gyro omelet (gyro meat, feta cheese, tomato and onion), it is awesome. They are easy to make and are high in protein. They are usually a minimum of 30 grams. This is all I count because I was told that the body can only digest 30 grams of protein at a time. Any more that that just goes through us. Enjoy.

I have done omelet's - one egg, a slice of 2% cheese and a slice of deli ham - then I can only eat half of it. I'd do it more often, but I don't want to use my dad as a garbage disposal and many times that little bit is enough...

Normally, I have carnation instant breakfast with a scoop of Any Whey added in for good measure...but lately I've been getting tired of that. So, this morning I made a fruit salad concoction...it had one Jonathan apple, one McIntosh apple and some red grapes mixed into fat free vanilla yogut with a few slivered almonds and walnuts and a dash of cinnamon for flavor. YUM! And there is plenty left over munching throughout the week!

The quaker oatmeal people have come up with a weight control instant oatmeal that is really good and has 8 g of protein and if you add milk it is more. I also will have a carbmaster yogurt with a scoop of unjury and frozen blueberries (microwaved) in it. 33 g of protein. I think peanut butter toast is very good also especially with crunchy peanut butter. and a glass of milk. I will also have some total raisin bran for fiber once in awhile too. Just a couple of my breakfast ideas. Wendy
