Sapala-Wood micropouch???
Hi, So how many had the Sapala-Wood micropouch? I'm just getting started with Cori and will see Dr. Wood, and I'm sure he'll suggest the micro-pouch. Can you tell me more about it? I've read about the size, etc., and that it's not supposed to stretch and stuff, but are there other differences? It seems so small, I'm amazed you can eat anything!!! Is there a difference in the amount you can eat than from Roux-en-Y? Do docs at other centers recommend this? What are your thoughts? Thanks.
I had SW MP and have been pretty successful with it so far. It is not limited to restrictive capacity however. The bypass element seems to work well with this "pouch" size.
I would caution you about CORI though. I defended them for nearly two years. I would look into an alternative surgical group. Try Real Weight Loss Solutions or Live Lite also. Keep your options open. RWLS is through St. John's. Both places do very similar procedures. I know they at CORI say they have a patent on the procedure but I doubt that very seriously. Quite frankly, I have no faith in their company (CORI) at all.

I had the micro pouch done through Dr. Pesta @ Liv-Lite.......he trained with the docs at Cori and I was NOT at all impressed with Cori when I tried to have mine done there. Other than Dr. S and Dr. Wood I was just another number. Dr. Pesta is wonderful, caring and can do the same procedure. His incision is alot smaller than alot of other Docs also
Thanks for your responses. I'm going to a seminar this Wednesday that Dr. Wood is supposed to be at, so I'll see what he has to say. I just finding it hard to choose the right place. I don't know, maybe I'm worrying too much about it and just should pick one and do it!! I imagine that all the centers are pretty good. Big Sigh.....
