I'm on the losing side
Hi everyone just wanted you to know that I'm home and on the losing side. They took me back to the surgery suite about 9:00, and I was in room about two. No serious problems. Had a little problem with my Asthma and getting my kidneys to work a little lasix took care of that.
Now I'm just trying to figure out how to get all these liquids in.
Jeanne
WELCOME to the loser side of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so happy for you Jeanne!!!
My surgery was supposed to be at 7:15am but it got pushed bac****il 1:00pm... so I got to sleep in Monday morning, which I thought would be a good thing, but all I did was get more nervous!! haha
Mine went perfectly. I'm home trying to get in liquids too!!! Can't tolerate foods right now. Doc says that's normal the first week. I'm going to try some chicken soup tonight for dinner.
You rest up and I'll rest up.
Hugs,
laurie
Jeanne: Don't stress yourself out over getting in all the liquids. It will come as you heal more. Try your best to drink small amounts. One thing that seems to help is to pour the liquid into your mouth and not suck it in to avoid the added air in your pouch. It may sound silly, but you don't have a lot of room in the new tummy, so that air really takes up room. If you had yours lap, and they used the gas to blow up your belly, I found that putting your arms overhead and stretching side to side helps the gas to move out better than just trying to walk it off, too. Hope that helps some! Get your rest! Love, Pam
Jeanne,
Welcome home so glad everything went well I'll be praying for a speedy and healthy recovery. Plenty of sleep and sip sip sip. For me if I laid on my left side it helped move the gas better for some odd reason even now.
Take one day at a time and before you know it you will be in onederville.
Life is so wonderfull!!!!

Jeanne,
I have been watching your posts for several weeks now and know that there were delays in your surgery due to other health concerns. I just wanted you to know I am very happy for you now that it is over and done with (the surgery, that is).
May you find the inner strength to see this through, and with the help of good friends (like those that lurk around here!!) I'm certain you will be successful.
Sincerely,
Mary
