Question about HAP Co-Pay

Can anyone who went through Henry Ford and HAP tell me when/how they paid the $1,000 co-pay? My husband is trying to budget and having a (small) fit because I don't know exactly when we are to pay it or to whom. I think I read someplace that it is paid the day you show up at the hospital for surgery. I called HAP but my advocate told me it's a Henry Ford thing, not a HAP thing. Can anybody shed some light???

I heard it is paid the day of surgery too...paid to the cashier's office I would think. At least thats how things of that nature are handled at the hospital I work for.

Henry Ford is trying to get me for $250 for a hospital admittance fee, and until I see where I was actually billed for it, I'm not paying it!

I e-mailed Wanda and she said that the co-pay is due the Wed. before surgery. (I'm assuming it's at the medical clearance??) Rhonda, I would be hesitant to pay that also... everything I have states the only fee is the $1000 co-pay ..nothing else.
