6 months

Well, as of today it has been 6 months since my "rebirth" and there have been so many unbelieveable changes in my life!! I am down 139 lbs - only 8 lbs away from going into ONE-derland, where I haven't been in over 20 years. I have gone from a size 28 to a size 16 (again, I haven't worn anything except plus sizes in 20 years) - I actually bought a large for my Easter dress!! I have lost 60 + inches. I can move without gasping for breath - I can keep up with my kids. I actually feel good about myself and not ashamed to be seen walking around. At wrestling meets I could go to the top of the bleachers and not feel like I was going to pass out or feeling like everyone was watching me wondering if the 'fat cow' was gonna make it to the top or roll back down the stairs. I have to say this is the BEST present I ever gave myself - and to anyone out there struggling to get approval for their surgery, PRESS ON!! It is worth any struggle!! God Bless, Jeani V 347/208/150

Jeani: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very proud of you and can honestly say I can't wait to be in ONE-derland myself!!! I have 25 lbs to go for that!!! Which shouldnt take too long since I started cross training now instead of just walking!!!!!!!!!! I know the happiness in seeing the sizes of your clothes fall..... And I know how it is the BEST Present you ever gave yourself. Truly in my heart, I appreciate you saying what you did and how you feel because I relate 100 percent. Jeani, You have done remarkably well for 6 months and I am so happy for you. You still have many changes coming in the next 6 months. I have felt the same way before my surgery and now I am having the time of my life for the last year doing things I would never of done before surgery. For instance we went out on the motorcycle tonight and last fall I went rollar blading down my street. Life is Great!! Take care, Jance

Jeani, congrats to you. Hearing how you feel makes me even want this surgery more. I am just waiting for the word from the shrink and then everything goes to my ins. I can't wait to feel good it's been a way toooo long. I'am so happy for you. God bless you barb
