OT: GAS PRICES ARE INSANE.....
OK, I'M FURIOUS.
GAS PRICES ARE TOO HIGH. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT TO THOSE WHO MADE IT THIS WAY!!!!
MY QUESTION IS:
HOW MUCH ARE YOU PAYING FOR GAS IN YOUR AREA?
HERE IN MOUNT PLEASANT, LAND OF THE SOARING EAGLES AND CMU,
I PAY 2.89 A GALLON FOR REGULAR, 2.98 A GALLON FOR UNLEADED MIDGRAGE AND A WHOPPING 3.09 A GALLON FOR UNLEADED PREMIUM.
I'M BUYING A HORSE. THAT'S IT.
I managed at speedway in waterford, up until last month, so i'll tell you how this goes. every once in a while, usually once or lately, twice a week the company emails all the speedways and tells them a price to go up to....usually about .20 cents. so at 9a.m. they go up and leave it like that til 3pm. At 3, the managers drives around the area and sees what they got everyone else to go up to....they then put it into the computer and corporate emails back with a new price, usually a penny cheaper than everyone else. They call this restoration. Now what really gets me is this....the speedways here only use marathon gas, which is american gas, and has the only refinery here in michigan. So all these excuses you keep hearing about the war and hurricanes is not the whole story, we can all thank speedway for the gas prices.
By the way, i filled up today at 2.62 a gallon, and it wasn't from speedway.
Hugs
Linda
According to tonights news, why GAS is so HIGH:
GLOBAL ENERGY DEMANDS ARE UP
IT COSTS MORE TO PRODUCE GASOLINE
AND THE MARKETS ARE GOING TO REMAIN TIGHT AND EXPECT 4.00 A GALLON IN SOME PLACES.
A BARREL OF CRUDE WILL TOP 71 DOLLARS BY THE END OF THIS MONTH.
SO IN SHORT, THERE IS NO DROP IN PRICES ANTICIPATED.
MUCH WORSE, THEY COULD KEEP GOING UP.
like I said, time to buy a horse.
