Appeal letter sent today!
I sent my appeal package in today. I say package because it looks like a presentation. In addition to my appeal letter, which is 4 pages long, I sent photos of myself and my skin condition resulting from my hyperinsulinemic state. I also included a graph of my weight fluctuations for the last 20 years and a BMI graph, plus my medical records for the last 5 years. I sure hope this does the trick. I sent my package certified mail to be sure it gets to where its going. It cost me $6.60, but if I get approved, that will be a small price to pay.
Im not really sure, Annette. I figure they should have my appeal package by Wed or Thurs at the latest. I should receive a letter saying it was received, and then another letter with a determination after that. Im guessing it could take a couple of weeks. I think, but Im not certain, that they have 15 days once it is received to make a decision. I appreciate the extra prayers. I need every little bit I can get.
Good deal Colleen! Did you ever call and talk to your representative? (I bet you didn't..silly girl!) I know things will go well, and just remember you still have another go at it if you get a "you know what" (I'm not even going to say it...) It sounds like you sent in everything you could. I'll be praying for you and for a quick response. I go tomorrow for my psych evaluation so I'm sorta nervouse.. I don't feel I'm outta the woods yet!!! Let's just pray for each other and we'll get through all this!!! Let us know as soon as you hear anything!
Blessings and prayers!
Kim
Hi Colleen!
I've been following your story and I am keeping you in my prayers!!! Sounds like you have everything organized and well-presented though, so it's just a matter of waiting for the return of an approval letter for you! (Gotta think POSITIVE!!!) Truly, best of luck and keep us posted!!! Hugs, Theresa
